CHI Donaueschingen
16th September 2010 - 19th September 2010
Each year, Donaueschingen is the setting for one of the most famous equestrian events and a point of attraction for top riders and for all friends of the equestrian sport as well as a highlight for riding clubs and promising riders from the region. The International S.D Fürst Joachim zu Fürstenberg commemorative horse show will be held for the 54th time, from the 16th to the 19th of September, 2010. It joins the best traditions with top-class sport and a pinch of public festivities character, the combination of which has turned the CHI Donaueschingen into what it is today.
On four days, there will be top-class sport of the special kind: For every horse-riding fan, there is something to discover; whether it is showjumping, dressage or fast driving competitions, nationally as well as internationally successful riders and drivers all meet here in one and the same place. Anyone who wants to be someone in the equestrian world will make their way to Donaueschingen. There is something on offer for the young promising riders, in dressage as well as in showjumping: they can compete in the EY Cup (European Youngster Cup / Young Masters League), the AlpenChampionat champions show, the team jumping, the young rider competition or the draw-rein class. Amateur riders from the region have are afforded the opportunity to "experience the really big" show atmosphere.
A highlight of its own is the big festive parade on Thursday evening through Donaueschingen: Riders, drivers, organizers and helpers use it to express their gratitude to the host town and literally whet the appetite for more equestrian sport – be it in the saddle or on the carriage.
